Who's running this club?

Alissa Glickman, President
I am a huge OSU football fan, and became involved with the alumni club when I got tired of watching the football games alone in my apartment here in Philly. I figured, there has to be some OSU alums in Philadelphia, and I found out that there definitely are!! Love for the Buckeyes is in my blood, as both of my parents and one sister are also alumni. I grew up in Cleveland and finally left the great state of Ohio to pursue my Ph.D. down at the University of Miami. Little did I know then that we would be playing them in the National Championship 5 years later!! But don't worry, I bleed Scarlet and Gray and proudly wore my Buckeye gear to watch the game amidst all the green and orange Hurricane fans in Miami. :-) I ended up in Philly for a job, and I love it here and will likely be staying forever (much to the chagrin of my mother, who wants me to come back to Ohio). I'm excited to be involved with the Philly Alumni Club and look forward to meeting many more people who can respond when I yell out, "O-H!"

Mandi Bucceroni, Vice President
I am a huge and proud Buckeye fan. Born and raised here in the suburbs of Philadelphia, I am excited to be back home and with some many Buckeye fans. I enjoy travelling and make sure to make to at least one Buckeye game at minimum a year. I am looking forward to another year of great game watches, and assisting with the recruitment of amazing future Buckeye students. I attended The Ohio State University from 2001 -2005, and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in International Business. I am currently working as an Immigration Paralegal for a large law firm in Center City as well as pursuing my MBA. While at Ohio State, I was involved in Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority, Panhellenic Association, Hillel Jewish Student Center. Go Bucks!

Dex Volpe, Vice President
My name is Dex Volpe and my love for our GREAT University goes back to my earliest childhood memories!

First of all, I grew up in the shadows of Ohio State, being a second generation graduate from the ‘big farm'! My father, Uncles, Aunts, and Sisters are all Buckeye Nuts, I mean grads! You talk about love for our school; I attended my first Ohio State / Michigan football game at age 5! I have ‘strongly disliked' them ever since!

While on Campus from 1970 to 1975, I was the "Rush Chairman" for one of the largest fraternities at Ohio State, Kappa Sigma. I was involved in many activities while at Ohio State, including all sports of every kind, becoming Greek ‘Athlete of the Year' two years running.

Serving now as Director of People Development for The Rose Group, I understand the commitment needed to be successful and can provide the passion necessary to enable members, new and old, to want to belong ... to stay connected to something that was one of the GREATEST experiences of their lives ... becoming a BUCKEYE!

I am married with a great wife that allows me to attend games all over and to stay connected to the college I love! We have three awesome children, our youngest carrying on the tradition by becoming the third generation of Volpe men to go to Ohio State, starting on Campus Fall Quarter 2008!

Steve Yackin, Vice President

I have bled Scarlet and Grey my entire life, from my home town in Willoughby, Ohio (Outside of Cleveland) all the way to East Norriton, Pennsylvania (Montgomery County)  I am currently a Procurement Consultant for Global eProucre in New Jersey, and enjoy watching my Buckeyes no matter what the sport is.  No matter where I go, I will have some sort of Scarlet and Grey on, and Brutus is out in the front yard all football season.  GO BUCKS!

Years at OSU: 1993-1997, B.A. in History

Paul Hofer, Treasurer

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. I first went to The Ohio State University's Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio in 1982. After graduating, I worked for a short time and then went to Kent State for undergraduate work. After undergraduate school, I then went to Ohio State's Main Campus for Graduate School in 1987. I found myself moving to the Philadelphia area to work for the W. Atlee Burpee Company as Controller in 2004.

I find time to go back to Columbus for a couple of football games a year and enjoy traveling to some of the away games each year. I have been to all the Big Ten stadiums. Another goal is to see at least one game of all the 36 intercollegiate sports that Ohio State competes. Go Bucks!
